FIGHTING BACK (I): TRANSFORMING THE CULTURE OF FEAR
(Fighting Back I)

DIFS-230 This 12 wk course (6 credits) is the first Level I general introduction and pre-requisite to a series of specialized courses (Level II and III). The main purpose is to offer professionals, from various walks of life, access the best information on the "culture of fear" problem in our society and world. Through some historical, sociopolitical, theoretical, and philosophical study and group projects, learners will begin to resource themselves to start making positive changes in their own life, practices, and their organizational cultures. Where fear, mistrust and intimidation once rules, learners will begin to undermine these patterns and intervene in effective ways to build a culture of trust, justice and fearlessness. Start-up TBA.
