Re-Thinking Emotional Intelligence: An Integral Approach

DIFS 105. This 4 week overview course (2 credits) introduces various theories of socioemotional development and critiques them within an integral approach based on fear and fearlessness theory and the context of a post-9/11 era. Focus will be on the strengths and weakness of "Emotional Intelligence" that is promoted by many and an alternative focus on integral emotionality.
